Giulia Cappellaro

I am an Associate Professor of Management and Public Policy in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Bocconi University. I obtained my PhD in Management Studies from the University of Cambridge. My research brings together organization theory and public policy research to examine how organizations and occupations respond to large-scale societal transformations, including technological change, population aging, and disruptions in knowledge practices. At Bocconi, I am affiliated with the Centre for Research on Health and Social Care Management and the Centre for Research on Social Dynamics and Public Policy.

I am an Associate Editor of Organization Theory and a member of the editorial review boards of the Journal of Management Studies, Organization Studies and Strategic Organization. I currently serve as a Representative-at-Large of the Organization and Management Theory (OMT) Division of the Academy of Management.

I am one of the coordinators of the Healthcare & Technology Research Jam, an academic network bringing together scholars interested in the technological, professional, and organizational dynamics of healthcare.

My research and teaching have been recognized with multiple Bocconi awards for research excellence and teaching innovation, best paper awards from the Healthcare Management Division of the Academy of Management, the European Group for Organizational Studies and the Italian Health Economics Association, and best reviewer awards from the Organization and Management Theory Division of the Academy of Management and Organization Studies.
