Marta Equi Pierazzini
I teach on the Economics and Management for Arts and Culture programmes (the BEMACC Bachelor's degree and the ACME Master of Science). I am a Fellow of the Centre for Research on Geography, Resources, Environment, Energy & Networks (Green) in the Arts, Societies, Knowledge Economies (ASK) Research Unit, which specialises in interdisciplinary research into cultural, artistic and creative sectors. I have been part of the Observatory on Contemporary Art research team there, conducting applied research on culture-led processes of social transformation and territorial development.
In addition to Bocconi, I have taught Arts Management on the Visual Cultures programme at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, and delivered seminars and lectures at PhD and professional level. I received my PhD in the Analysis and Management of Cultural Heritage from the IMT School for Advanced Studies in Lucca, Italy and I have been a visiting researcher at the Gothenburg Research Institute at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden.
As an interdisciplinary researcher, my interests lie at the intersection of feminist theory, cultural studies and organising theory and I am keen on qualitative research methods and feminist epistemologies.
I have worked on gender and feminist issues within the contemporary art system and on Italian feminist history in relation to cultural organising. I have also worked on projects concerning culture-led urban regeneration and social inclusion.
