Nuclear Power and Force: A World Without Rules

The U.S.-Israeli attack on Iran reflects a dangerous shift from diplomacy and international law to the use of military force. A previous nuclear agreement with Iran once offered guarantees and inspections, but its collapse weakened trust in diplomatic solutions. Nuclear deterrence is increasingly uncertain in a world marked by unpredictable leaders and renewed conflicts.
The debate on nuclear weapons highlights the tension between security, freedom, and the moral risks of legitimising threats of mass destruction. When legal order and legitimacy are replaced by brute force, global stability and trust among allies become deeply fragile.
